Redneck Reunion '13

Mom's family has some of the best get-togethers.
Seriously fun and funny all at once.

This year Mom was in charge and decided to go with the redneck theme.
Which was perfect.
Ingrams are a lot of things ... and redneck-y is definitely one of them.
And I'm including myself in that group!

We traveled to Birmingham for the day and decorated the community center in as much camo
and duct tape as possible.

We dressed with the redneck theme in mind -
some of us definitely got into it more than others!  Heehee!

We ate a redneck meal of BBQ and sides.
Spinach dip was even served out of a mini-potty!

We then played a bunch of redneck games.
Washers, junk-in-the-trunk, hubcap frisbee to just name a few.

And we ended the day celebrating the matriarch of the family - Memaw.
92 years young.
She's a truly amazing woman!
Redneck?  Maybe by today's standards.
But in her day, resourceful would be a better word.
Making things work with what she had.

I say she is a lady that does the south proud ... redneck or not!

My sweet mama ... she went all in ...
bubba teeth, overalls, bouffant hair, an old corsage, big jewelry!

This crew - not so rednecky looking ...
although Bo did wear the nastiest, most sweat stained hat he owned!

Nickolas - what an outfit!

Michaela and her brood - all dressed as UGA fans ...
they are Alabama alum!
 Brilliant!

Michaela's girls ...

... and hubby!

Sweet shot of Memaw and
Notice Memaw has on a Duck Dynasty shirt ...
reeeeee-eeee-dneck!

What's more redneck than cut up swiss cake rolls with toothpicks for serving?
Funny thing?  These disappeared lickety-split!

And Aunt June with her spinach dip in a little potty.
She swore it was clean and sterilized before use.
I had a hard time getting myself to eat any, clean or not!!

And moonpies ... we even had cold, canned RC's to go with them!
