The grader finished digging the basement yesterday (Friday). Amazing how much dirt had to be moved! Our builder was hoping to get the forms done to pour the footings, but we hit a snag with the inspector, who says we need a survey done to be sure the basement elevation is above the dam of the lake. Bowdie's made the necessary phone calls and we hope to have it taken care of without much of a delay. By the way, I've been informed that the previous post does not contain 'the golden ticket.' What I thought was a building permit is just a grading permit. So the 'golden ticket' is still yet to come!! More later . . .
