A bunch of puddle ducks!

Spring Break was a blast at The Cleft! Who needs the beach when you can play out in your own yard with your friends??? The weather was absolutely gorgeous, especially the last couple of days, so we all got sunburned and look like we've been somewhere exotic! These are some fun pictures of the Cleft kids' first swim in our lake . . . we weren't too sure about how safe it is - not because of animals or the water, but just sharp objects, but we let them try it out anyway!

Wesley immediately went to the deeper water and went under to touch and see how deep it was - ICKY!!! That's Will in front of him . . .
Here's Jarrett and Graham easing in - it was COLD!

Here's the crew - from the left that's Ethan, Jarrett, Graham, Will and Wesley. What's up with the peace signs???!

Blaine got in and then decided that his skinny little body couldn't handle the cold! He was shivering like crazy! There's Jordan sitting beyond him - she spent the week with us and was such a help with the younger ones - I think she had a blast too!

Here are Anna Beth, Ty and Jacob. They were wise and decided to stay on dry land and play in the sand box! Riley Catherine is missing because just before these pictures, she went inside to find Stacey - in the process, the door slammed on her thumb and somehow ripped her nail off - I mean OFF. The amazing thing is how Riley handled it - she was crying, but not hysterically and Stacey did great clipping off what was left and doctoring her up. I was MORE than happy to stay by the lake with the kids - let's just say that had it been one of my boys, Bowdie would have been coming home from work to handle it! I can do anything but blood!! She's doing great and it's swollen, but she hasn't missed a beat. We're praying and believing the nail will come back with no problems and the accident will only be a memory!

  2. I love that the boys swam in the lake! Luke's been asking to swim in ours but we haven't been daring enough to let him yet. Maybe soon...
