So ... if you happened to read my post on our big duck release, then you'll know that at the end I mentioned that Hunter was missing. Well, RIP Hunter ... he's officially been gone for nearly a week and we feel quite sure that the circle of life has once again happened (we've been assured it was not by human hands but probably by a snapping turtle's mouth ... we have some large ones!).
Butterball and Blackman are still around, scrounging for whatever it is that ducks find to eat and still refusing to get in the lake - after witnessing whatever it was that happened to their dear brother (or sister, not really sure), I can't say that I blame them - it seems the lake might indeed be a dangerous place!!!
