We had a fantastic day.
Sweet family time in the morning.
Sweet extended family time in the afternoon.
Sweet time all around!
The stockings were hung ...
Jarrett read the Scripture to go along with
our last ornament for our Jesse Tree ...
Blaine read some as well ...
Then Bowdie finished it up ...
... and Jacob added the last ornament
to complete the tree.

Aunt Beck did her stocking first ...
I went next, but didn't put those pics in.
I'm too vain and I looked WAY too scary!
Bowdie & Beck both got the book that has
probably shaped my faith walk the most up to
this point in my life. Besides the Word,
of course.
It's called The Calvary Road.
I highly recommend it.
Get it. Read it.

Some dirtbiking socks that Bowdie ordered
for himself and told me to put in his
stocking ...

And his cute face as he reaches down in
his stocking for more goodies ...
And these, a whole 97 cents, were the hit
for the older 2 ... mouthpieces ...
Pretty sure he wore his all day ...
GRRRRrrrrr ...
And these were the gifts the boys gave
one another. I just wasn't diligent to
get them to the store to buy for one
another, so they made coupons instead.
They made them for things like doing a
chore or making their bed or even
getting to sleep in their bed ...
so fun!
We'll definitely do them again.

school to Aunt Beck.

All 3 boys got new Bible bags ...
these are awesome - several cool pockets
for pens, pads, etc. plus plenty of room
for the Word.
I mean, since he IS training to run
26.2 miles, it only makes sense that
he gets his very own Garmin and not
have to share with me. Right??!!
Aunt Beck's traditional gift to the
boys are matching t-shirts. She travels
all over, so its fun to see where they'll
be from! These all say University of
North Dakota JackRabbits ...
Blaine opening a shared gift ...

to as a necklet ... :)
New jeans ... my man can flat pick out good
jeans. And he got me 2 pair this year!
Since Jarrett's in the Chess Club,
it's only fitting he got a Chess set.
Now if we could just learn how to play!
My last gift ...
Bowdie wrapped a candle and had this
note in it to try and throw me off.
He wrote a cute poem that told me my
gift was hidden in the ottoman.
When I opened it, I found ...
... my new boots!
There was also a pair of (are you ready for this?)
skinny jeans as well.
Seems you have to wear that kind with boots
so they'll stay tucked in.
I must admit, they are pretty comfortable ...
as long as I have on a long shirt
or sweater, I'm cool with it!
Then the scavenger hunt for the 2 olders'
last gift began ... each clue contained
a letter to the location of the gift ...
First to the mudroom ...
... then to the laundry room ...
... then to our bathroom ...
... then to the pantry ...
... then to the playroom where the location
of the gift had to be unscrambled ...
It didn't take too long for them
to spell 'porch' ... and off they went!
New bikes & helmets!
The Cars & Spidey helmets have totally
been outgrown ...
*notice the mouthpiece is in again*
Bowdie had one more gift ...
several running essentials ...
no, that's not a swim cap - it's
supposed to be a running toboggan.
It has been sent back and a new one
will have to be found.
One that won't squeeze his head so tight
that his brains ooze out his ears!
(and that is the largest size they had!)
Trying out the new ride ...
Blaine wanted Beck to ride with him ...
of course she did!
