We enjoyed a GREAT Memorial Day weekend.
Of course, the lake was involved.
And friends.
And a parade.
And boat rides.
SATURDAY
Chad & Mandy (and their 3 kiddos)
enjoyed their inaugural visit to Riverhaven ...
as well as Ben & Amy (and their 2 girls) ...
(yes, he's sitting in her lap -
typical Ben antics!)
Jacob, Luke & Blaine
Jacob, Luke & Kallie
Ben's favorite part of the day ...
the four-wheeler on the water!
Amy & Lindsey
We enjoyed yummy BBQ & hotdogs,
with fixings ...
Ben doing a little dock jumpin' ...
So Amy had to join ...
Isn't that precious?!
Ready for the evening pontoon ride.
Cole, Kallie, Luke & Jacob
The Hendersons, minus Luke,
who was driving the pontoon ...
Go Luke!
Tired eyes ...
J-man
Jacob, contemplating the meaning of life ...
or something.
Lindsey Lou was almost out.
Blaine-o snuggled up to me,
of course!
SUNDAY
Our friends in the cove had their grandchildren up ...
Micah & Blaine were fast friends!
Sweet boy!
The boys' favorite place to ride when we head out on the pontoon.
MONDAY
Downtown Gainesville for the parade ...
Horrible lighting (this is from my phone)
but this man is a veteran ...
... from all the WWII battles listed on that white sheet.
Some included D-Day, Battle of the Bulge and probably
at least 8 more.
He walked with no limp, no cane, no help.
It was quite a moment!
No parade is complete without the Shriners!
And the guys reenacting the Civil War ...
people from the north don't realize men really do this!
Gotta love the south! :)
And of course,
old tractors.
I {heart} John Deere!
And the sure sign that it was a great weekend.
Blaine made it about 5 minutes down the road
before he completely zonked out.
Love it!
fun post. love all the family memories that yall are building together at the lake house!
