Sweet 16

Can not believe we celebrate our 16th anniversary this year.

Do you remember how, when planning the wedding,

the days seemed to d-r-a-g by?

And now, here we are 16 years later.

Thanks to Christa, I got Bo the absolute perfect shirt ...
because he is:

We celebrated with dinner at Stoney River ...

(sorry for the crummy pic - it was dark and a phone camera ...

bad combo!)

Several weeks later, we had our traditional anniversary dinner

with the Warbingtons ...

We ate at Leon's in Decatur ...

it was the perfect night & weather to sit out on their patio.

I enjoyed their turkey schnitzel sandwich ...

it was delish!

If you look in the back of the pic, 

you'll see the sweet gift we got from the Warbingtons ...

it was a small mercury-like vase that Stacey made to hold memories.

(the gift for 16th anniversary was silver and we try to always get things

that go with the 'gift' for the year)

She brought little cards & we wrote down all the memories our families

have together ... there were so many we ran out of paper.

I loved that! :)

So after we finished at Leon's,

we took a nice after-dinner stroll just a couple of blocks

to the Chocolate Bar.

What a great name for a dessert place, right?!

This was Chuck & Stacey's cake ...

some kind of double death-by-chocolate deliciousness ...

seriously.

We had to opt for a non-chocolate dessert

(due to Bo's commitment to no chocolate for a year) ...

this was the apple pie cake and it was yummy as well.

So thankful for the Lord's grace in each and every moment He

chooses to give us.

And for the wonderful friends that we have the privilege 

of doing life with.
