We don't always do this.
But Jarrett made a point this year to get on Amazon
and pick out gifts for his brothers.
Our thing is this:
if they want to do this, great.
But it has to be with their own money.
Blaine asked Bo to take him to Walmart to get gifts.
Again, he paid with his own money.
Change, in fact.
He had $20 of coins he used.
Pretty sure the Walmart girl let out an exhausted sigh as he counted.
I thought it was awesome!
Jake didn't get to buy gifts this year.
He never asked and we didn't prod him.
He was disappointed that he didn't have anything for his brothers.
I don't think he'll forget next year!
We let them open their gifts on Christmas Eve,
once we returned from NewBranch's service.
Blaine gave his out first ...
Jarrett got an iTunes card.
Bo said that Blaine was dead set on this.
It really was the perfect gift for J-man!
Jarrett's gift to Blaine ...
a baseball game for the Wii.
While Jarrett could've had a few ulterior motives with this,
Blaine was still excited!
Jacob was next, opening Blaine's gift ...
which was a Lego Hero Factory guy he didn't have.
Perfect!
Next up Jacob opened Jarrett's gift ...
... a Nintendo DS game.
Which was perfect because Jacob was getting a Nintendo 3DS the next morning!
Full heart.
Praying their generosity grows and grows,
not only towards their brothers but everyone as well.
