Robert Sapp '13

We've done other baseball camps.
But none have been nearly as good.
And by good, I mean simple and basic.
Old school.
Good stuff.

The boys love it.
They look forward to going.
They leave the house a little after 8 each morning,
all crisp and clean,
then get in my car at 3 in the afternoon,
dusty, sweaty, muddy (if its wet) and exhausted.
Perfect day for a boy!

First morning - raring to go!

Headed to the field.

Coach Sapp's first morning speech.
I stay every year because its that good.
Things are said like, 'We want you to love the game.'
'We want you to leave here and go home and play in the yard.'
'We aren't teaching anything fancy here - just the fundamentals.'
'Your mama ain't here, so clean up after yourself.'
And on and on.
It's good.

Blaine-o got bumped up to the next age group up.
His coach was from Macon.

J-man got bumped up to the 13-14 year olds.
He hung with them really well.
His coach was from Flowery Branch High School.

Love seeing him stretch for the out - he got it too!

Blaine playing a little 2nd base ...

Awards ceremony on Friday ...
both boys wanted to get the hustle award.
Only 1 is awarded to each age group.
They didn't get that, but Jarrett 3rd place in hitting (which was impressive seeing as he is 11 playing with 13-15 year olds!) and Blaine got 2nd place pitching (he got beat out by Phil Niekro's grandson!!)
Proud of their hard work!

And this cutie pie??!
No baseball for him.  Not a bit interested.
So he hung out with me.
Experienced his first Starbuck's hot chocolate.

And went to a movie.
He was happy as a lark!
