WHAT'S IN A NAME?

We are so excited that the entrance is coming along so nicely! They've finished the columns and they really look sharp, but the very best part came today - the signs!!! We look so official now. I wanted to explain the name - The Cleft, for those that are a little curious. Way back 10 or so years ago when we sat at Chuck & Stacey's kitchen table and hatched this dream He'd given us, the LORD literally put the name The Cleft on my heart. I had really pondered and thought about what would be a name that would encompass exactly what we wanted our community to be and The Cleft seemed to say exactly that. For those familiar with the Old Testament, you'll remember the story where Moses asks to see God but God tells him to stand in the cleft of the rock until His glory passes by and then Moses can view Him from behind. Our desire for The Cleft is to be a safe haven for our families, a place where we can all come and rest and find safety. We also want it to be a place where we all seek to see the LORD and all His glory - not only for us, but for all who come to visit. Praise His name!!

The LORD has done great things for you! We look forward to visiting the next time in your new home. What a blessing.
