He's Still Workin' on Me!

Jacob had his end of the year program for Child's World last Thursday night (4.23.09).  This is always so special and as I got ready to go that night, I realized that this would be the 4th year in a row we've had to go!  Love it!  I've figured out the reason why I love it so much is that they keep it really simple and sing all the oldies that I used to sing in preschool ... and those are the goodies for sure!  Jacob's part in the program was to the song "He's Still Workin' on Me."  The words to the song are so wonderful - check them out ...
"He's still workin' on me; to make me what I oughta be.
It took Him just a week to make the moon and the stars; the sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars.
How loving and patient He must be; 'cause He's still workin' on me!
There really oughta be a sign upon my heart; don't judge me yet, there's an unfinished part.
But I'll be perfect just according to His plan; fashioned by the Master's loving hand."

Words to live by!  Enjoy the video at the bottom of him singing his little heart out!

This is Jacob with his friend, Luke Rooks.  They are in church choir together too!

Here's Jacob and his crew singing the song.  They all hand paint brushes they 'worked' with while singing ...

Here's Jacob singing another song.  He was in his element!

Here are Jacob and Anna Beth Stokes ... she is one of our neighbors and a fellow Child's World-er ... except that she is in the 4 year old class and goes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday instead of when Jacob goes, which is Thursday and Friday.

(remember, you need to scroll to the bottom of the blog and click on the pause button to turn off the blog music so you can hear Jacob singing!)
