Since playing fall ball, it's been fun to see each week who's on the opposing team. Jarrett can always give us a run-down of which kids go to Mulberry with him, what grade they are in, who their teachers are ... I love how he pays attention! Anyway, a couple of Saturday's ago (October 10th), we played the Yankees. This is a game that he's been looking forward to all season because a new buddy from school is on it. Even though he and Austin are in different 2nd grade classes, they play on the playground together every day. Of course, they talk baseball and obviously, they talked a bit of smack about playing each other! Austin is new to Mulberry, so we were so proud of Jarrett that he introduced himself to him at the beginning of the year and then has been good to introduce him to other friends. As parents, we've quoted the 'show yourself friendly' verse a bazillion times ... proof that the Word never returns void!
Anyway, the game was so fun because Austin got to pitch to Jarrett and then Jarrett got to pitch to Austin. So neat to see them compete on the field, then go back to being buddies after the game. Fun day!
Austin pitching to Jarrett ... he got a single ...
Jarrett pitching to Austin ... he got an RBI single to win the game ...
Game ball presentation ... Jarrett got it for getting 2 hits off of kid-pitch ...
So proud!!
Random pic of Jacob with his buddy Nicholas ... his older brother, David, is on the boys' team ... sweet family that we go to church with ... love them!
