An Official Introduction

Mulberry does this neat thing for all upcoming kindergartners called 'Kindergarten Carousel.' It's a fun morning where the kids get to see the school, visit some kindergarten classrooms, sing some songs in with the music teacher, and even have cookies and milk to top it all off! All the while, the parents are in the lunchroom getting the low-down on what life at Mulberry looks like ... from the principal, the assistant principal and even a kindergarten teacher. One thing I love about Jacob starting school next year is that it should be an easy transition for him. The teachers have seen him around (he gets a sucker from the front office every time he goes in), he's comfortable with the school, he's eaten in the lunchroom, he's familiar with where he'll spend 180 days starting in August. So this was an 'official' introduction, so to speak, on Kindergarten Carousel day. Kind of a rite of passage, of sorts, from 'I'm the kid brother of 2 of your students' to 'I'm going to BE an actual student here next year'!!

Heading to the cafeteria ... he stayed ahead of me the whole way ...

Writing his name on the star nametag ... he got frustrated and had to turn it over and try again!

His best buddy and only preschool classmate, Kallie ... how fun that they could be in class together next year!

Kallie, Jacob and Jacob's other best buddy, Will (who's also our newest neighbor). How fun that all 3 could be together next year!!! Watch out Mulberry ... GREAT days are ahead!
