How did it happen???
Jarrett turned 9. NINE!!! Really??!
Here's how I think of him ...
But this is reality ...
Good grief ... the years are so short!
Anyway, he wanted to have a spend the night party this year.
I spun off that and said we should do a 'glow in the dark' theme.
He loved it!
So 7 friends came home from school with him last Friday and we had ourselves
a party ... the boys played so well together ...
they went from sport to sport ...
a little football, a little baseball, a little trampoline, a little monkey-in-the-middle ...

Jarrett working on his shirt.
These were painted with glow in the dark paint.
Didn't really glow, but they turned out super cute!
Eating pizza ... the perfect birthday dinner.
Opening gifts ...
I think he loves gifts as much as I do.
I think that's a fine quality. :)

Everyone in the their shirts ...
love all the nicknames on the back ...
we had everything from just last names, to things like J-rod (Jarrett), Speedy (Blaine),
Goose (Austin), Willis (Will W.), and C Money (Carsen).
Cracked me up!
Silly shot!
This looks like a normal wiffle ball ...
... until you put a glow stick inside it.
Now to play wiffle ball in the pitch black cul-de-sac.
Literally all you could see was the ball being thrown back and forth.
It looked like some amazing magic trick!
Playing the game ...
he chose 15 because of Tebow ... love that!
Carsen Plumadore, Riley Jenkins, Austin Gusaeff, & Jarrett
Andrew Beasley, Cooper Johnson (Blaine's friend), Carson Curry,
Blaine, and Will 'Bug Eyes' Warbington
Time for birthday cupcakes ... this is what Jarrett requested ...
Nana had already made him a double-doozy cookie cake that we ate
on his actual birthday ...
Not too shabby for this mama!
Love this boy! So proud of him ...
His sweet friend Austin ...
After the after-dark games, the boys came in, p.j.'d up,
and snuggled in to watch 'How to Train Your Dragon.'
Saturday morning pancakes ... mmmmmm ...
Cooper playing some ball ...
Riley doing what he loves - fishing!
a little fun on the trampoline ...
Jarrett's tricky-trick ... trying to do a flip!
Fun times, fun boys, sweet friends ...
love you
Jarrett!
