As mentioned in the party post,
Blaine's class and the whole 2nd grade
centered their festivities around making
gifts for the local nursing home.
What I especially love about this is that
they also offered for the kids to actually
deliver the gifts that day after school.
So we all went.
It was a great time for the kids
to spread a little love to the older residents.
While they weren't exactly perfect at lingering
and actually conversing with the elderly,
they did do a great job of always offering
a 'Merry Christmas' and a smile.
What a great way to give a little back!
So thankful for teachers that make sure the
kids know that Christmas is not all about them.
The 2nd graders and teachers in front of
their mural at the nursing home.
Love that all their handprints are on there.
All the kiddos that came to deliver
the gifts. It was a great little group!
Getting to work, gathering up
gift bags to deliver.
Jarrett, spreading some Christmas cheer.
So proud of him!
Blaine, taking a break.
