Ready for some {flag} football??!

Team Jenkins has taken up a new sport:

flag football.

The older 2 are playing with I-9 Sports here in Dacula.

We really knew nothing about it until some good friends told us.

They had a good experience last year playing, so we thought we'd try.

It's been a lot of fun -

both for the boys (to play) and us (to watch).

Bowdie's taken a coaching sabbatical, 

so he's loving just being able to sit back and enjoy.

Of course, he's jumped in to help when needed,

but I think he loves not being the one in charge.

This time.  :)

The best part, though?

Well, it's a toss up between 2 things.

1.  There's only 1 practice a week and its the hour before the game.

2.  Seeing Blaine & Jarrett work together as teammates.

Now that I think about it - it's not really a toss up.

#2 all the way!

I mean, really?

This will be blown up for the bonus room.

And will be a part of senior videos, down the road.

{notice their socks - love that my boys have their own sense of style!}

Another favorite that's worth 1,000,000 words.

Jarrett (as QB) had just thrown a pass to Blaine for a TD.

Last week, we were ahead by several TDs, 

so Coach John let Blaine have some QB experience.

He liked it, but I think he likes running or catching the ball more.

The 2nd week, Jarrett got MVP ...

(kinda like a 'game ball' in baseball)

Blaine got MVP 2 weeks ago ...

Fun that Will's playing too,

but bummed that he's a league up!
