We enjoyed another great teacher picnic here at The Cleft.
The weather was soggy all day,
but about 2:00 or so, the sun came out
and it was the most perfect evening!
The Stokes hosted behind their house this year,
for a change,
and it was super nice to eat at the tables out in the yard
by the lake.
All seemed to have fun.
And we were happy to honor the teachers & administration
for the time & energy they poured into our kiddos this year.
Our theme this year was baseball ...
Christa found this sign for a STEAL at Scott's Antiques ...
Our favor for the teachers was a little galvanized bucket (from Ikea)
with either peanuts inside or homemade cracker jacks.
Stacey & Amanda made the cute little pennants for each one.
The spread was hotdogs, baked beans, cole slaw,
chips, watermelon, brownies, cracker jacks & bubble gum!
Some the teachers as they wait for the blessing to be said ...
Blaine was super excited to see this guy -
one of his best buds from last year, Cooper.
His mom was Riley Catherine's teacher this year,
so Coop came along to the picnic with her.
Blaine was so sad that they weren't at the same school this year!
Katie Beth eating with Jacob's teacher's girl, Addison.
Enjoying some down-time.
This is Graham's good buddy, Riley, from last year.
They were at different middle schools this year,
but his mom was Will Mock's teacher,
so Riley came along.
Fun on the tire swing ...
Mrs. Watkins (Will's teacher this year and one of Jarrett's former teachers)
was totally entertained by Ty, Will & Jacob.
Several of Wes's teachers from HCA participated in the wiffle ball game.
Blaine & our principal, Vivian Stranahan.
Jarrett & his teacher, Michael Cone.
Jarrett and his accelerated math teacher, Jill Lambes.
Blaine and his super bubbly teacher, Brittany Palazzo.
(can you just see her energy in this pic??!!)
Jacob & his wonderful teacher, Jessica Pienaar.
And of course, no Cleft activity would be complete without
jumping on the trampoline!
So thankful for another great year ...
not without it's hardships,
but definitely wonderful nonetheless!
